The Visual Music
Carnival (VMC) happening on May 12, 2012 will be an exciting event packed with
fun-filled activities and performances bundled together with the most awesome
rock bands in the Philippine music industry.
The VMC is a charity carnival-themed fundraising event for
the Video Relay Service (VRS) projects designed to give joy and laughter not
only to children with hearing and speaking disabilities, but also to those who
would want to enjoy a weekend blast with them and others. The event’s goal is
to support the VRS projects of the Telecommunication Service Network for the
Deaf (TSND) Inc., by installing Public VRS stations namely in: Philippine
School for the Deaf, Lagro High School, Miriam College-Southeast Asian
Institute for the Deaf, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, and a whole lot
more.
Happening at the spacious Amoranto Stadium grounds, it allows
the VMC to hold activities such as jumpers, outdoor rides and carnival games.
Aside from those thrilling activities, mind blowing band performances will also
be happening as well as battle of the bands, photo booths, skateboard
exhibition demonstrations, playgrounds, and also a cosplay competition as one
of our major attractions.
To finalize everything, the VMC has rounded several famous
Philippine musicians to liven up the stay of event goers up until 12MN.
Performances by Imago, Radioactive Sago Project, Typecast, Saydie, Valley of
Chrome, Hijo, The Chonkeys, Philia, Paramita, Mayonaise, Oremuz, Voice of
Tranquility, Jurassic Pards, 4th Draztik, Sigaw, Subkulture,
Bushfire to name a few, and many more will surely rock out your mind and
provide a new experience for everyone else, including our hearing and speaking
impaired friends.
The VMC is proudly supported by prestigious companies, groups
and individuals who share the same goal in helping out children in need with
hopes of improving ways to provide them better communication and education.
Music Source, Aloha Boardsports, THE, MYX TV, Anime Alliance Philippines,
Evening Tea Time, Jiao Ming Glutathione Whitening Soap, Geiser Maclang
Marketing Company, and GreenVAS Communications are some of the few who are
sponsoring this extravagant event. Together with personalities like Ms.
Bernadette Herrera and her Bagong Henerasyon campaign would surely make this
event truly a remarkable endeavor for our hearing and speaking impaired
friends.
The VMC will be happening on May 12, 2012 from 12NN to 12MN
at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City. Tickets are being distributed by
SM Tickets and can be purchased at the amount of 150PHP with tons of freebies

ABOUT VISUAL MUSIC CARNIVAL
The Visual Music Carnival is a celebration of music, visual
arts and extreme sports with a direct cause. It is a fundraising event aimed to
provide support to the projects of the Telecommunication Service Network for
the Deaf (TSND) Incorporated. Part of the goal is to support the TSND's public
VRS station installation project in communities with a high volume of hearing
impaired residents. This will be held annually in venues such as stadiums or
fields upon which the stages and other structures are erected.
ABOUT VIDEO RELAY
SERVICE
Video Relay Service is an internet powered service that helps
deaf people call anywhere and anytime hassle free. A VRS booth comes with a
V-Pad.
A V-pad is a touch screen videophone with a camera; it will
be bolted in to a wall just like public pay phones. Where in there will be a
sign language interpreter on standby during service hours.
To simplify, it’s a videophone with a built in interpreter
that will make the calls for the deaf caller.
